Comments wont show for logged in users after removing disable comment plugin

    This is the plugin from hell.

    First of all, I did not use persistent mode and it disabled all comments even after deactivating the plugin.

    I have then enabled comments on all posts.

    THE PROBLEM:

    All users can see comments posted. – Good

    Logged in users CANNOT see posted comments. It says be the first to comment this post. – BAD

    What in tarnation is going on. Please help.

    I even did a database restore from the day before and the problem is still there. Logged in uses cant see comments. you have to be logged out. Even after the restore.

    oh and i have reverted to default theme for check and the problem still persists. So back on new theme again.

    @jtorral first of all please take a moment to consider that I maintain and provide support for this plugin in my spare time, for free. Like you, I have a job and other responsibilities. The plugin has close to a million active installations that work just fine. WordPress is a complex beast however and occasionally someone has a combination of plugins/themes that conflict. It happens. Starting off your post with “this is the plugin from hell” is not the most productive way to ask for help.

    Secondly, if you did a did a database restore and the problem still persists, then it seems like something else was wrong before you installed the plugin (e.g., another plugin is causing some kind of conflict).

    It is hard to offer more specific suggestions without knowing the details of your setup:

    – A link to the site
    – List of other plugins installed
    – What theme you are using

    Samir,

    Yes I was harsh and apologize. My frustration peaked when things were working perfectly until the plugin was added and even a removal of the plugin did not revert back to the way things were.

    I am in the middle of restoring other files from backup at this time and will see if that helps.
