Community Events Submit Form Progress loader

Would anyone know how to customise the Community Events Submit An Event form to fire a progress loading animation after a user hits the Submit / Update Event button?

This seems like a no-brainer feature for a form that includes an image upload field. As the page sits there seemingly doing nothing while an Event Feature Image is being uploaded in the background. I suspect some web users may try to upload large files, then freak out and leave the page or refresh it while it’s trying to upload.

Any help would be appreciated.
