    To whom it may concern,

Recently, we have come across this issue: on one of our support topics dedicated to our Multilanguage plugin, a user suggested another plugin as an alternative to ours. Thus, we kindly ask you to delete the comment that is not related to the technical aspects of our plugin. As far as we know, such comments violate the Community rules.

We would be very grateful for your assistance in this matter. Thank you!

Not sure where you got your information, but no, it is not against the rules here for people to help others out, even by suggesting alternative plugins or solutions.

    Hi,

In this case, if it is not regarded as rules violation, and thus is not restricted, could we also suggest the dissatisfied users of other plugins to try out our product (which matches their requirements), and add a corresponding link in other plugins’ Support Forum section? This way, users will be able to give an alternative variant a try.

There is a difference between trying to help people out vs. promotion of your own products. Helping others is allowed, blatant promotion or advertising is not.

If you spot a case where somebody is promoting their product, then that would be suitable for moderator intervention. However, the case you are pointing to here is not such a thing.

    Hi again,

Thank you for the clarification, we see the difference now. As for now, we have no other questions. Thank you again for your assistance.

    Have a nice day!

    Regards,
