    Hi,

The field “Company Email” has “Optional” in brackets, but its required. Also, the field “Company Team Size” jumps from 1-10 to 101-200. Where can I edit this form?

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards
    Colin.

    Hi @wpcol,

It looks like you are using the Cariera theme. Please rule out a theme issue.

If your hosting provider offers a staging site, it’s best to test on that to avoid affecting your live website. Ask your host about this option.

If you don’t have a staging site, you can install plugins like WP Staging (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-staging/) or Duplicator (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/duplicator/) to create a temporary copy of your site for testing.

Then, install the Theme Switcher plugin (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/theme-switcha/) and use it to temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/twentytwentytwo/).

See if the form errors persist with the default theme. If the default theme resolves the issue, you can contact the Cariera theme developer for troubleshooting assistance. They may be aware of the problem or can guide you further.

      Hi,

Thanks for your help with this.

It’s not an error with the theme. The errors are within the form. I just need to know how to edit the form.

      Regards,
      Colin.

      Hi @wpcol

The Cariera theme is actually adding that form to your site. That isn’t something you get by default in WP Job Manager.

You’d need to reach out to the author of the theme for assistance on how to customize the form.

      Hi,

      Thanks for your reply.

I contacted the theme provider first and they said it wasn’t part of the theme. I will forward your message, so hopefully I can get it sorted.

I see this topic has been marked as Resolved. Could it remail Open until I fully understand the correct process? Thanks.

      Regards,
      Colin.

      Hi @wpcol,

It sounds like there may be another plugin or custom template you are using that’s populating the optional field for you. Perhpas you have something like sMyles Field Editor plugin? https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-field-editor/

For reference, our default WP Job Manager company fields do not include the email address field. Here’s what that looks like:

      Company fields
      Company fields

I recommend trying these steps to temporarily disable all plugins and revert to a default theme, so you can figure out which plugin/theme is adding these fields.

      1. Install Health Check plugin on your site
      2. Download and install Twenty Twenty-Three on your site if not installed already
      3. Go to Installed Plugins. Click Troubleshoot on WP Job Manager
      4. Try reproduce the issue
      5. Once you are done, go back to wp-admin and disable troubleshooting mode through the top bar.

Then, you can re-enable plugins one at a time to see when you can reproduce that optional company field. Once you find out which plugin adds this field, you can reach out to the development team of that plugin.

      Best,
