    Hi there,

I upgraded to 4.8 a few days ago and it appeared that everything was working fine.

Today somehow every page is redirected to the login page. I deactivated the plugin and now it’s possible to browse, however also now all my content is unprotected.

Can you please explain how to make sure that the content one wants to be available publicly is set up for that. It seems that I have to create an access level called “readers” and set it up explicitly for this?

You have not described this in the documentation, and it would very helpful to know how it works correctly. I have made mistakes several times in the past with this user level but at least as of a few days ago it was working. I don’t think I changed anything today to cause this unwanted all-site redirect, but apparently something is very wrong with the setup and I don’t understand this aspect.

    Thank you for your time,

    Violet

    Thank you for reporting this.

I have tested the plugin with WordPress 4.8, and there should be no issues. Did you update any other plugins before the problem occured?

For content you want to be available to the public/all users, you should not have to do anything. Content is by default visible to all users.

If you want some content to be available to e.g. only Subscribers, you should:
    1. create a new level (Subscriber Level)
    2. add the conditions for content you want to be accessible to this level only
    3. synchronize it with the Subscribers role

When users that are not subscribers try to access that content, they will be redirected to a page of your choice.

Let me know if this helps!
