    Hi
I noticed a glitch when cloning posts.
I use popular Enfold theme and used Duplicate post plugin to clone portfolio entries which had many common elements.
I noticed that cloning such element make them somehow undetectable by the previous/next navigation of the theme.
I tried to check differences in the database between a manually created post and its clone, but couldn’t find anything useful to explain this glitch.

Can’t tell if it’s a plugin or theme issue.
I opened a ticket on Enfold support but thought you might know about it.

PS: of course, theme and plugin are latest versions.

  • Hi,
I don’t use Enfold but I’ve just had the chance to try it on a project hosted by a friend of mine and I couldn’t reproduce the bug: I cloned a portfolio element and it shows the previous/next links sliding from the sides (if you are talking about those).

I looked at the Enfold code and it seems that no custom fields are involved in this, but only taxonomies, so maybe you have set Duplicate Post options not to copy Portfolio Categories?

It doesn’t seem an incompatibility, though, but something about the options of your current configuration…

Hope this helps, thank you for your report!

    Hi Lopo
Well, allways bad news when someone else can’t reproduce the bug. :s
Every taxonomy is duplicated (and duplicate portfolio entries are visible on the category page) so this is not the cause of the issue.
I hope Enfold support will find something…
    Thanks

    Hi Lopo
I just found the cause of the issue!
I had checked the option for Copy post date. Thus, the previous/next navigation could not determine which one is before/after the other.
I guess it has nothing to do with Enfold, but any prev/next nav would have had the same problem.
I was able to fix my problem by manually changing every post date to have them different (I also had to date them all with specific publishing date/hour to have the nav order I needed).
    I hope it will help.

    Hi!
Thank you, glad the issue was resolved!
