Compatibility issues: Post types from “Divi Engine”

We use the plugin to change the categories of posts.
Unfortunately it does not work with the custom post types created by the plugin “Divi Engine”.
As soon as categories AND tags are activated for a post type, there comes the error “More than 1 hierachical taxonomy detected. You must assign a default taxonomy on the settings screen.” But in the settings it is not possible to save the selection “categories”. If we disable “tags”, it works. But we need both, categories and tags.
Can you help me?
