Compatibility with Active Directory?

    Hello support,

    I would like to know if your plugin is compatible with Active Directory groups?
    Let me give you more details :

    1/ I’m developping an intranet for a client, and users profil come from Active Directory with another plugin called ‘Active Directory Integration’.

    2/ I’m restricting the visibility of some content (like articles) by groups in using your plugin.

    My question is quite simple : can I make match groups i’ve created with your plugin and groups which are already in Active Directory ? And how to do that?

    Hi Olivier,

    I’m not really familiar with Active Directory so I’m rather guessing …

    With respect to Groups, you would have to mirror the groups from Active Directory and assign the users to the groups in WordPress based on their membership in Active Directory – this could be done at the time the user account is created. But it would also have to sync so that users are added and removed from the groups in WordPress when they are added or removed in Active Directory. I’m not really sure if the plugin you mention can help with that – I assume you refer to this one https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/active-directory-integration/

    This all sounds like a good piece of work, but if you have a large set of users then it can be worth the effort. Otherwise you could simply assign users manually to groups.
