Compatibility with bedrock

I am having a little trouble in that I can see the cookies and scripts are being blocked, but the modal or cookie bar never show. I can see that the body class is never added to trigger this. Testing a few other cookie plugins it is hit and miss, some work and some don’t. I would prefer to use this plugin as I’ve always had good results with it.

A possible cause I can think of is that this site uses Bedrock: https://roots.io/bedrock/ other than that I don’t see any errors in the console and the plugin is definitely activated. One thing to note is that I see the cookie bar shows on the WordPress login page, just no other page on the website. Any guidance appreciated.
