Hi, we just wasted an entire day trying to make AdRotate work for some ad rotators in our blog feed modules and sidebar widget areas within our site and it turned out incompatible with our WP Rocket caching plugin.

We just want to make sure if we buy your plugin that it will work with WP Rocket and our theme, which is Extra, a Divi theme. Are there any known issues that might prevent us from reliably using your plugin to rotate groups of ads in various places around our site?

    Hi teameccr,

thanks for reaching out. We partnered with WP Rocket and fixed all issues doing that. At this moment, I am not aware of any issues between WP Rocket and cache-busting in Advanced Ads Pro. Most dynamic ads – like ad rotations – also work with our very fast passive cache-busting, the rest is loaded using AJAX.

Here are a bit more information about cache-busting: https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/cache-busting/

You can also reach out directly and let me know more details about the setup that broke with AdRotate through https://wpadvancedads.com/support.

Just to make sure: with “blog feed module” you mean archive pages? If you really mean the blog feed (e.g. http://example.com/feed), then this is where indeed many dynamic feature would not work with any ad plugin, with or without caching.

Thanks for getting back to us so quickly! This is all good news 🙂

The Blog Feed Module I was referring to was a Divi module on archive/category pages that lists our posts, not the /feed thing in WordPress, so I think we’re good there.

Here’s an example on the Extra theme’s demo site: https://elegantthemes.com/preview/Extra/category/standard-blog/

So you see it’s just a standard blog roll listing X number of posts in a simple archive/category listing fashion.

One last question – after reading the cache busting article, are the limitations with passive cache busting going to affect google adsense or is this more directed at other types of dynamic affiliate systems?

Ideally in an ad rotator group we want to be able to use a simple FB Group banner in our media library, a custom dynamic content javascript served ad set, and google adsense; loading one of those on each page load pulled at random from that group. Does that seem possible with Passive or would that need to be Ajax cache busting to work properly?

Thanks again for getting back to us so quick!

    Thanks for the feedback.

I checked the theme demo and saw that the navigation is handled with AJAX. I had similar cases where posts are loaded by AJAX and it always depends on how this was implemented to see whether ads will also be loaded in the results or not. In most cases, we found a working solution though.

Cache-busting does not affect AdSense in a particular way.

If none of the JavaScript based ads contains “document.write” then passive cache-busting should work.

Ok great. One issue though – we have tried with multiple payment methods to purchase through your cart on your site, and we can’t seem to make it work. Is this a known issue? If so, is there another way we can pay and get the pro version? It keeps saying the zip code is wrong, but I know it’s not, I use these methods all the time to pay for other things on the web.

    Thanks!

I am sorry for the issue and would like to help, but I am not allowed to answer Pro-related questions here on ww.wp.xz.cn (for good reasons). Please contact me through https://wpadvancedads.com/support.

    Thanks
    Thomas
