Compatible version for plug in

When i search for certain plug-in, it shows up everything irrespective of version compatibility. It will do really good to the users if it can be sorted or grouped according to the wordpress version . Because it kills lot of time to open ,study and finally come to know that the plug-in doesn’t work for the version I am looking for.In order to avoid this, some steps may be taken by wordpress group.
