    I’ve been using this plugin successfully until recently, when the same files I’ve been using to import users no longer work.

    I get the message that the user was imported successfully, but no user is created.

    I checked the error log and nothing new gets added to the file.

    Nothing has changed really in my installation, other the updating WordPress to 4.4.1.

    Can anybody confirm this?

    To be clear, I’ve been adding users without email, which has been working fine.

    It looks like now, if no email is provided, what I described in my original post happens.

    Has anything changed recently in the way WordPress allows the creation of an user without an email?

    In WP 3.5.4, I’ve successfully used this to create users without email addresses. The resulting WP notification to admin (if not disabled) looks like this:

    New user registration on your site [sitename]:

    Username: testusername

    Email:
