I am hoping to start using the plugin Prevent Concurrent Logins, but I use the User Switching feature very often as a troubleshooting and testing tool. I am wondering if this plugin will be compatible with the Prevent Concurrent Logins plugin? If the user I am “switching” to just happens to be logged in at the time, will they get kicked out?

Has anyone brought this up before?

Thanks in advance for your assistance. And for the wonderful and very useful plugin you have created.

    Cheers!

    Hi Colin,

I’ve not heard of that plugin before, but it sounds like it probably will have the effect you state, in that the original user will be kicked out. This is because User Switching does actually log you in as the original user.

Your best bet would be to log in to a user account in one browser, and then use a separate browser to test the user switching functionality and see if it logs you out of the account in your other browser.

Let me know how it goes.

    John
