Yes, WPForms Lite 1.9.8.7 is compatible with WordPress 6.9, and we haven’t seen any compatibility issues between these versions.
That said, we always recommend keeping WPForms updated to the latest version whenever possible. Updates help ensure everything continues to run smoothly and include bug fixes and improvements.

When I check the ‘View Details’ for the plugin WPForms it is still showing that it is only compatible up to 6.8.3

I want to let you know that our team is currently in the process of reviewing the metadata, and we will be updating the “Tested up to” version very soon.
While the tag currently shows 6.8.3, I can confirm that:
- No Known Conflicts: We have not encountered any conflicts or issues with WordPress 6.9 in our testing so far.
- Next Update: The compatibility string is typically refreshed with our next scheduled plugin release.
You should be able to continue using WPForms Lite on your site without any trouble. If you do notice anything unusual, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
