Complete confusion: Subscriptions/Subscribers/Subscribe2

    One thing I’ve not been able to get my head around is where on earth my subscriber list is! All I’ve been able to identify is my comment subscriber list. With Subscribe2 plug-in installed my understanding is that I have three subscribers lists:

    1. Comment subscribers – only subscribed to comments
    2. Subscribe2 subscribers – receive email alerts
    3. Website subscribers – have a user name and password

    I’m really confused over who is what, who has rights to do what and how each logs in. When subscribing to email alerts using Subscribe2 the user doesn’t have a password, so how do they log in and out to manage their subscriptions? Also where is that list? I know I have over 50 subscribers but I can’t find the email list to manage.

    If someone signs up to my website and assigns themselves a user name and a password, do they get my email alerts? Why can they subscribe to my website? What does it offer over and above Subscribe2?

    I have to say this really confuses me and I can’t find an answer. Some clarification would really help me.

    I totally agree, admittedly I have only been using WordPress for a few weeks but surely the subscribers to your site are one of the most important aspects, so where the hell are they?

    I only recently discovered that if you go to Posts – Mail Subscribers – I have a drop down box that says I have 8 public subscribers, 4 confirmed and 4 unconfirmed. Does unconfirmed mean they never got/confirmed by e-mail?

    Where do I go to see my subscribers? I would have thought they would be under Users – Subscribers – but they are not.

    Subscribe2 only handles emails to a list of subscribers when a new post is made. Comments are handled by another plugin (subscribe-to-comments).

    The different types of subscriber and their meaning is all discussed in the ReadMe.txt file.

    as far as i can see you need to go to….

    TOOLS
    SUBSCRIBERS

    look haflway down the page at current subsribers and change the drop down box
    to all subscribers and click filter

    Thanks, last place i would have looked to find my list of users.
