Complex, but brilliant

Have been using this plugin for several client sites for a couple years now, both have the premium version. This plugin is by far the best documented WordPress plugin I’ve come accross, absolutely every feature and advanced functionality is documented in an easy to follow “what I need to know to get it working” manner within the actual admin of the site. The rundown on more advanced functionality (there is plenty of more advanced functionality in this thing) is on their website along with step by step example tutorials. Just an exceptionally well thought out and fully featured plugin. Support from the pro support forums is incredibly good, I’ve received specific code examples needed to correct a bespoke change within 24 hours of asking.

The staff here appear to be basically full time, you’re likely to get in contact with the same person you spoke to a year and half ago with really good technical ability.

This is, under the hood, not a simple plugin by a long shot, however if you just install it and start it up it does work out of the box. When it comes to customisations, I’ve not had to add much code in templates to completely change this plugin from its intended purpose to something else. The vast majority of changes you need to the frontend HTML are available in the admin settings area.

Updates can be a little challanging at times for this one, so I’d always recommend doing at least major updates in a staging environment. Most of this is because it does get the changes and improvements to keep it current with the same changes in WordPress.

I confidently recommend this plugin to clients and other developers.
