Complianz blocking Google Analytics before consent

    Hi there,

    I have been using the Complianz plugin and I’m really happy with it so far.

    I would like to track statistics without consent but currently, Complianz is preventing this. I have followed the GA4 GDPR configuration guide to ensure an appropriate configuration of Google Analytics statistics without asking for consent. Please advise.

    Hi @therisingmom,

    Is it possible that you have one of these questions set to Yes in the Wizard? These would prevent Analytics from loading prior to consent.

    “Do you target visitors from Germany, Austria, Belgium or Spain?” under Wizard -> General -> Visitors, and/or “Do you want to ask consent for statistics?” under Wizard -> Consent -> Statistics – configuration.

    Thanks for checking. I just checked both ones you mentioned, and they are marked as “No.”

    Hi @therisingmom,

    Okay, I now see that you also use JetPack. Please check under Complianz -> Integrations whether you have the JetPack integration enabled, if you do; try disabling it.

    For good measure, please perform a Purge/Clear all action in any optimization tools to ensure that these changes are reflected on the front-end of the site.

    I see that Analytics now loads without consent, so I expect that the above suggestions have helped to resolve the described behavior.
