„Complianz“ Problems

    Hello!
    I recently started using Complianz.io as a plugin for my website, but I have some problems and questions about Complianz:

    • On some devices the cookie button is not displayed for some reason, although I should have set everything correctly.
    • In addition, the text I want is only displayed here (https://umwelt-magazin.eu/cookie-richtlinie-eu/) on the cell phone – not on the computer…
    • If I already have something about the cookie policy on the website, do I still need this privacy policy (https://umwelt-magazin.eu/rechtliches/datenschutz/)? I have the feeling that there is a lot of duplication
    • At the moment, the Enfold and Complianz cookie banners are also duplicated. How do I switch the former?
      I hope some of the questions are answerable and would be very grateful for an answer 🙂

    Ich nutze seit kurzem Complianz.io als Plugin für meine Website, habe aber einige Probleme und Fragen zu Complianz:

    – Auf einigen Geräten wird mir der Cookie-Button aus irgendeinem Grund nicht angezeigt., obwohl ich eigentlich alles richtig eingestellt haben müsste.

    – Außerdem wird mir hier (https://umwelt-magazin.eu/cookie-richtlinie-eu/) nur auf dem Handy der Text angezeigt, den ich dort haben möchte – Auf dem Computer nicht…

    – Wenn ich schon etwas zu der Cookie-Richtlinie auf der Internetseite stehen habe, brauche ich dann noch diese Datenschutzerklärung (https://umwelt-magazin.eu/rechtliches/datenschutz/)? Ich habe das Gefühl, da doppelt sich einiges

    – Momentan doppelt sich auch der Cookiebanner von Enfold und Complianz. Wie schaltet man ersteren um?

    Ich hoffe, einige der Fragen sind beantwortbar und wäre über eine Antwort sehr dankbar:)

    Hi @putmakerag,

    1. are there any specific devices on which you experience this issue? If so, could you tell us on what device so we can try to replicate the issue?
    2. Text being displayed on mobile but not on desktop could be a caching issue. Could you try to clear all caches the website uses to see if that resolves it?
    3. Generally Complianz will handle all documents. Therefore you can disable other plugins which add documents or remove any redundant documents.
    4. To display only the Complianz banner you disable the Enfold banner in their settings.

    1. I don’t know why, but now it’s working again.
    2. I’ve already cleared the cache, but as long as it only doesn’t work on my computer, I don’t think it’s a problem 🙂

    4. Thanks – It’s not working for me at the moment for some reason, but I’ve asked their support now
    5. I have two more questions:
      I’m honestly a bit surprised that we use so many cookies on our website – unknowingly… Is it possible to deactivate them as an admin so that they don’t have to be blocked by the reader first, but are not “offered” in the first place? In principle, this applies to all marketing cookies.
    6. As far as we know, we don’t use Google Fonts at all, but Complianz has told us that we do. Is that really true?

    Hi @putmakerag,

    5) the cookies on your site are likely set by other plugins / services. Marketing cookies are always blocked when no consent is given. Do you mean if it’s possible to not set the cookies entirely?

    6) I don’t see Google Fonts being used directly on your website, but you do use a Google Maps integration which might load some fonts. If you don’t use Google Fonts on your site you can safely disable the integration.

    Yes:) The cookies are visible in the Firefox developer tools. I would say that the only “external” cookie comes from YouTube. The remaining cookies should be more or less unproblematic and necessary cookies, right?

    If you don’t use Google Fonts on your site you can safely disable the integration.

    Hi @putmakerag,

    The YouTube sources (and therefore their cookies) already seem to be blocked correctly before obtaining consent on this website. So, it would only be able to set those cookies upon obtaining consent.
