    Hi Jordy,

When the plugin has been updated with the last version (7.0.5), The website in php 7.4.x crashed. I checked in the description but your plugin should work in php 7.4.x. It was an issue with PHP version in composer.

Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.1.0".

    Thanks

    Hi @kevinkoalect,

Actually, it’s strongly recommended to update your sites to PHP 8+. Not only for performance reasons, but also because it’s the official WordPress minimum: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/about/requirements/. The latest version of WordPress officially requires PHP 8.3. Running on older versions like 7.4 means you’re in unsupported territory; many plugins are now using PHP 8+ code, and issues or crashes are inevitable if you stay behind.

That said, I understand you might not be able to upgrade right away due to other dependencies. I’ve just prepared a patch to restore compatibility with PHP 7.3+, and I’ll release version 7.0.6 within the next few hours. Please update once it’s out.

From 2026 onward, though, the minimum requirement for this plugin will move to PHP 8.3, so I highly recommend making the upgrade a priority to keep everything fast, stable, and future-proof.
