• Hello,

The AAM plugin updated this morning and blocked all access to the admin area with the following error:

An error of type E_USER_ERROR was caused in line 24 of the file /home/forge/www.domain.co.uk/web/app/plugins/advanced-access-manager/vendor/composer/platform_check.php. Error message: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 8.0.0”. You are running 7.4.18.

But your plugin page states that this plugin is usable in PHP 5.6 or higher

I’ve removed the plugin until this is resolved.

  • If you need this plugin for every day functionality of the website, you might try using the WP Rolback plugin in this situation and revert the plugin to v7.0.6, then disable auto-update of the plugin and wait for the issue to be resolved. This workaround will work if you are using an older PHP version.
