Compress Gif

Hello, I am trying to improve the speed of my website. I have a gif in the homepage with size 3.8 Mb. So I am trying to figure out how to handle this and compress the gif. This gif is really necessary. I have tried compression tools online but the file size still remains big, more than 3 Mb. Any idea how can I approach this? Thanks!
