Compression issue

Hello, I recently had a small issue with gzip compression.
When I activate Browser Cache compression, the result is great and fast (less than a 1 second of load on pingdom), but I get this ERR_decoding_failed error.

So it seems my server already has a compression. I then disabled the Browser Cache option and the error disappeared, but the load is more than 3-4 seconds on pingdom.

I made some researches, and I am kind of lost between server compression, w3, things to modify in htacces and php.ini etc..

What should I do ? Let the server compress it or allow W3 ? If so, how should I process to let W3 compress it without the error ?
