    Hello,

I am trying to apply conditional logic to a form textfield:

    1) Dropdown1 with 3 Options – Option 1 is selected as default.
    2) Textfield1 with Conditional Logic enabled: “Show only if Dropdown1 is Option 2”

When the page loads, Option 1 is selected in the Dropdown. However, the Textfield1 is not hidden. It does properly hide if I select Option 3 in the dropdown (after the page loads) and shows fine if I select Option 2 after.

So looks like the Conditional logic is broken on page load and does not evaluate properly.

Can you help investigate why this is not working?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @hlantin,

The older version of Everest Forms had issues with Conditional Logic on dropdown so I would recommend you to update the plugin and it’s add-ons to the latest version and the issue should go away.

Let me know if you are still facing issues with the latest version and I will get back to you.
    Regards!

    Hi @sharmadpk03,

I did confirm we’re on the latest version of the Everest Forms plugins:

    Everest Forms: Version 1.7.0.3
    Everest Forms (Pro): Version 1.3.5.2
    Everest Forms – Multi-Part Forms: Version 1.3.5
Everest Forms – Style Customizer: Version 1.0.8

Let me know if any of these plugins have any newer updates.

    Thanks!

    Hi @hlantin,

Please deactivate and delete the existing Everest Forms Pro from your site and install the one by downloading from this link: https://filebin.net/yigfow160q7ogf9l

I have tested it out and it does not have issues with conditional logic. Please install and let me know.

Also, you need not worry about any data deletion because deleting the plugin won’t delete your data. So, please perform the check and let me know the results.

    Regards!

    Hi @sharmadpk03,

FYI, we did deactivate, delete, and re-install the Everest Forms Pro plugin per your suggestion, however, the issue still remains.

Again, the issue is that on *initial page load*, the texfield I’m trying to hide via conditional logic still shows. The hiding/showing works fine after I select the different options in the dropdown.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Hernani-

    Hi @sharmadpk03,

Any update on this issue? It’s blocking us from using the forms for our other project initiatives.

    Thanks,
    Hernani-
