I am unable to save changes to the configuration of the plugin. Specifically I’ve tried to change the Base Directories under Basic Configuration and the Access by Role/Capability settings under Manager Mode. When clicking on the Save Changes button it goes through the short animation progress with the image floating upwards and while I remain on the configuration pages it appears to take, but as soon as I move to a different page (such as my dashboard) and go back, the settings are gone. So…I can’t really use your plugin.

I’m not sure if there are some permissions I need to change on the files that wasn’t specified in the installation steps or if it’s an issue with my WordPress being at version 4.4.2 since this plugin is only listed as being supported up to version 4.3.3. If it’s related to the WordPress version, how soon will this plugin be updated to work with version 4.4.2?

It’s not a wordpress combatibility issue. It works fine with latest wordpress. Save process works fine on all of my dozens of live client sites. So something in your particular setup is preventing it from saving properly. Are you getting any javascript errors in your console when saving, or even just when loading the page?

I’m not getting any obvious javascript errors (as in error messages on the page or in a pop-up). I’m not really seeing any javascript errors in the console, but it’s also not something I generally have to use for my website.

I can’t think of any reason it wouldn’t be saving off the top of my head, so I’d have to troubleshoot it in real time if that’s what you need.

I had a consulting service we use look into the issue and they tracked it down to being an issue with your File Away plugin and the uBillboard plugin using the same variable for security checking. Would it be possible for you to change that to avoid future conflicts?

    What, “nonce”?

I looked up uBillboard. It’s a paid plugin that also happens to be no longer available for sale anywhere that I can find.

So I think it’s safe to say you can change their core files to fix this conflict, since there likely won’t be any more updates to that plugin.

They should NOT be overwriting the nonce variable. Can’t even imagine why they would need to do that. Since I can’t get access to their plugin files, I can’t tell you how to fix it.

But I’m not going to update File Away to accommodate a conflict for a plugin that 1) is messing with a variable as common as nonce and 2) is no longer available.
