When I add new Subscribers whose emails I have collected at in person events, the confirmation email doesn’t trigger automatically. I am adding them as Unconfirmed to make sure they get the Confirmation email that they definitely want to join our mailing list. If I click on Resend confirmation email, it sends immediately. Unfortunately, MailPoet doesn’t have an email log for transactional emails, so it makes it hard to troubleshoot this issue. I don’t want to get in the habit of sending the Confirmation email twice to these new customers or it looks spammy right from the beginning. Please advise ASAP.

    Hey @bougiedogwear!

When you manually add subscribers to your list, MailPoet won’t automatically send them a confirmation email. If you add them as Unconfirmed, the only way to trigger the confirmation is by manually clicking “Re-send the confirmation email”, as you’ve been doing.

To avoid sending that confirmation twice and risk looking spammy, an alternative approach is to send a personal email from your own email account, inviting them to join your mailing list. In that email, you can include a link to a signup page on your website where they can fill out the form and opt in directly. This way, they’ll receive the confirmation email through the normal automated process, and you’ll also have a clear record of their consent.

Since we haven’t received any updates from you, I’ll mark this as resolved for now. If you need further assistance, you’re welcome to start a new thread.
