Confirmation Link in Email

    I just installed this and I’m testing to make sure it works. I’m using the Subscribe2 Widget Pro. I go to the page where the widget appears, type in an email address and hit subscribe. I get the confirmation email, and I click on the link to confirm my subscription. the link takes me to the WP page I created, per the installation instructions, and asks that I enter my email again and hit Subscribe or Unsubscribe. I hit Subscribe again and I am sent another confirmation email with another link going to the same place as before. It’s one big loop.

    I did create the Seperate WordPress Page as instructed, and I set this as the default page in the Widget settings.

    I’m just not sure why the link in the confirmation emails is not confirming my subscription. The email shows up in the Subscribers section of the WordPress Settings, but it shows up as red, and unconfirmed.

    @bancer705,

    Have you put the Subscribe2 shortcode on the page you created? Haagen you tried using the built in widget?

    The Subscribe2 Widget Pro code is not mine so I cannot support and debug it. If the above don’t work try asking on the Subscribe2 Widget Pro forum.

    Hello,

    I switched to using the regular Subscribe2 widget. and I am having the same issue.

    I enter my email address to subscribe. I get the email confirmation. click on the link to confirm, and I am taken to the WP page I created and it asks for my email again. which just sends me another confirmation email in a never ending loop.

    Yes, the shortcode is on the WP page I created.

    @bancer705,

    Have you got any caching plugins running? Disable them or exclude the Subscribe2 page from being cached. Also, try using a core WordPress theme like TwentyThirteen and see if the issue persists, it may be theme related.
