Well, I have the same problem. It seems my theme came with the Visual Composer and an update to the WordPress caused that error. Should purchasing the WPBackery license and update the page builder solve the problem?
I am also having this issue. Has anyone been able to fix it on their sites?
Hi, we also have this problem, with the error:
Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 12 in /home/customer/www/hamiltonaerials.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/shortcodes/vc-basic-grid.php on line 184
We suspect an upgrade to PHP 7.3. by the Doman Hosts (Site Ground) and the fact that WPBakery Page Builder plug-in is old (v5.5.5) as it hasn’t been updated by the Theme vendor.
Does anybody have any suggestions or fixes?
The error can be seen at https://hamiltonaerials.co.uk/our-services/digital-tv-freeview/
Hi @montagumontgomery,
I can see that the Warning is not on your website anymore. Did you manage to fix it? If so could you please let me know how?
Thanks

Hi JCLondon,
Our errors were caused by an unannounced update to PHP7.3 by the Domain Hosting company. We reverted to 7.2 and the errors disappeared.
I think that our website theme uses a plug-in called WPBakery & that hasn’t been updated by the Theme creators to run with PHP7.3
Good luck with your own problem!
Hi @montagumontgomery,
Thank you so much for the super quick reply! Downgrading the PHP version did indeed fix the issue.
Thanks a lot for your help 🙂
