Conflict with comments?

    Hello,

    I’ve just installed the plugin with relative ease but several people have mentioned today that they can’t leave comments. I’ve tried myself (both logged in and out) and have successfully added comments. The people in question are new to my blog and never left comments before but I am wondering if I am missing something?

    Still no clearer as to what is going on – several more people have been unable to comment (not only new users). The error message displayed is:

    There was a problem processing your comment

    There is also a message at the bottom of my discussion page which says:

    Note: The Clearfy plugin is currently active, and comments are completely disabled on: . Many of the settings below will not be applicable for those post types.

    What does this even mean? Are comments disabled because I can’t see where that is the case on Clearfy. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,
    Try to disable the component that is responsible for the comments. If you deactivate it, will the comments work?

    Let me know, to me if this does not work for you.

    Hi Alex!

    Thanks for your reply and apologies for my late response. I’ve been away but did as you said before I went and have had one comment since. I am going to ask if other people can comment but it appears that the problem has been resolved. Will come back to you if this is not the case!
