When we updated Elementor and Elementor Pro to the latest version, the site crashed. Disabling SG Optimizer worked to fix it. On another site, items were missing from the pages. This site also had updated Elementor and Elementor Pro and turning off SG Optimizer solved the problem.

    Hello @cdrewsleonard,

I have tested the update in question on a test application of mine and I was unable to replicate the specified issue after performing the Elementor update.

It might be related to cache cleanup required after the plugin is updated. Such cleanup is executed automatically as long as the Automatic cache purge is enabled within the Speed optimized options in the WordPress dashboard. If this option is not activated the cache cleanup has to be performed manually by the site owner.

Have you tested enabling the Speed optimizer after the update and could you please confirm if the website crashes again after that?

If this is indeed happening we would kindly ask you to open a Helpdesk request from your SiteGround Client Area and we will gladly investigate this on our end.

    Best regards,

I just tried reenabling the plugin on the two sites with the issues and it worked just fine. Thanks for your help! I will disable the plugin before updating Elementor on other sites.
