    Hey guys,

I was having the problem that new threads and posts once submitted weren’t showing up for about 10 minutes.

My webhost had a look and noticed that there was a conflict between simple press and litespeed cache plugin

So far he’s disabled the plugin and the forum works prefect. But it would be good also to have litespeed running for mym site

    Any advice please?

    Thank you

    Ronnie

Hi – we’re not familiar with litespeed but most caching plugins have a way to exclude designated pages from being cached. Thus I suspect litespeed has that option as well. if so, just exclude the forum page from the cache and you should be good.

    Thanks.

    Hi, @ronniesblog

Yes, you can exclude forum pages from cache if you go to LiteSpeed Cache > Settings > Excludes and put the path to the forum page in the Do Not Cache URIs box.

That is the simplest solution, but it means that the forum page will no longer have any of the benefits of caching.

@nigel01 if you are interested in adding LiteSpeed cache support to Simple: Press, we have an API you might want to check out.

We also have an active Slack community, and a #wpcache-dev channel specifically for discussing third-party plugin compatibility, if you’d like to connect with others and get some tips.

The forum pages should never be cached since the data there is dynamic and, for most forums, changes multiple times per day. So best to exclude the forum pages from any caching that plugins or hosts might implement.

Marking this as resolved for now since we haven’t had new discussions on it for about 3 weeks.
