conflict with plugins

I have a subscription page based on ‘Email Subscribers & Newsletters’, on my WordPress running on Hueman theme. Once the submit button is pressed, the page should ideally show a success/error message. It works with other themes but does not show with Hueman theme. Any ideas on how I can work around this conflict?
