Hi this plugin is working great to accomplish the issue of adding a header/footer to beaver builder pages however it is conflicting with another plugin I have running (when I turn the header footer plugin off the Ads plugin works fine).

The function it is not letting me do is search by category. A support note of a different issue from the developer of WP Adverts notes

Basically this looks like some conflict with one of plugins (or theme) you are using, which overwrites each WP_Query with some custom param which break the search query.

Is there a way to fix this?

    Hello @peaksmedia

Can you explain a bit more on what exactly is not working in category search?

I tried reproducing the issue on my local system but it seemed to work as expected.

here is the screenshot of what I tested –

It would be very helpful if you could provide some steps to reproduce the issue so that I can quickly get it resolved 🙂

Hi Nick thanks so much for your reply I have a link to the test website that you can view:

    http://feathersandscales.peaksmedia.com/adverts/

My issue on this site is that the categories on the right hand side do not work/search.

When I turn the header/footer plugin off it works fine. But obviously without the correct website design.

—– However after reviewing this, I’m thinking it’s probably not an issue as I don’t really need to be doubling up on the categories anyway.

    @peaksmedia,

I re-created the sidebar and that is working just fine as well, see here – http://screenshots.sharkz.in/nik/screenshots/20170105162609-vqn9d.png

This plugin does not use WP_Query in the front-end so I am confused how this should be affecting the search query of other plugins, Might there be some other plugin causing this problem?

Thanks Nik the developer (of WP Adverts) has sent me code to try. Figured it was related due to turning it off allows the search function to work.

Either way I think I can get away with removing that category side bar so all good.

    Thanks again for your reply.

    Hi Nik,

OK I cannot get this to work. Was in contact with the developer of the WP Advert plugin but no luck there.

When I test the Advert plugin everything works – I add the BB Header Footer plugin, works fine (meaning I can get the footer to display but no header will display).

When I do the same as this person: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/footer-displayed-but-not-header/

“BB theme’s header has to be enabled in WP customizer so BB Header Footer plugin displays the custom replacement content.”

Appearance > Customize > Header > Header Layout (change from none to any of the other options) I can get the header to display – but the ads stop working – I can’t view by category as it will just keep sending me to the same screen – so not display the category.
