Conflict with WP Filebase?

I tightened up many suggested iTheme Security settings, and after I did, users were no longer able to upload files through WP FileBase plugin’s Add Files feature. They select the file on their computer, but it never uploads.

Previously, these were uploaded to folders under /public_html/wp-content/uploads/filebase.

They are able to FTP the files, and I can then “sync” Filebase to be able to edit the details through the plugin. But the plugin was much easier for them.

Where should I look and what should I change to resolve this conflict? Thanks.
