Conflicts still unresolved

The issue raised here over a year ago, which is marked resolved is still an issue, for example, if there are any custom functions already excluding a list of post in post_not_in, they get ignored because of how the plugins exclude function works. This is all detailed in the ticket above. Just wondering when this will be incorporated into the plugin?
