Conflicts with Coupons

I’m still developing our website. Last week, I input a coupon code and it worked fine. Then I added pricing rules and the coupon codes stopped working. I’ve discovered that if any product that has a pricing rule is in the cart when I try to apply a coupon, the system says the Coupon Code was applied, but it isn’t.

When I remove all products that have a pricing rule, the coupon code works. When I remove the pricing rule from a product, I can use a coupon code on it.

Even if the pricing rule isn’t invoked (ie, they are only purchasing 1 of a product), the coupon code won’t work.

Is this planned behavior? I need both – the ability to discount based on quantities or on products purchased, and the ability to get a % discount on your entire order.
