• I have this installed and is working fine, but it also displays the maps API on pages where maps using this plugin are not displayed. I am using another plugin (event espresso) that shows a map for a venue, but get the console error that the maps API is called twice on the page, which could cause problems. If I disable the plugin, the error goes away. Is there a way to call the Google Maps API only on pages that use the plugin rather than all pages of the site?

  • Hello,
If you are using more than one plugin of google map in a single site than both plugin will conflict with each other and create issue. Due to this lots of functionalities of plugin will affect. So always use single map plugin in a site.

You have to remove the other plugin or remove the extra api which creating issue.

    Thanks

The other plugin is an event plugin, and only includes the API on pages where it is displaying maps. That is correct.

Your plugin includes the API on all pages or the website, even if there is not a map. That doesn’t make sense. So if there are 100 pages on the site, and one page with a map, your plugin still includes the API on all 100 pages.

The conflict occurs only on a page where the other plugin is displaying a map. There is not map displayed with your plugin, but the API is still loaded which is causing the conflict.
