Answers to your questions inline below.
I have installed the business directory plug in and have uploaded a csv to WordPress for the users. I have some corrections I need to make to the users, but have tested my csv upload for the business directory only – I have not actually run the csv upload for the directory. But when I go to the directory page, there are names listed there. When I check listings in the business directory adnim there are no listings. Why are there listings in the directory even though I did not do the upload? The directory is at:

Listings would be in the directory if an import took place. I’m not sure why you’re seeing what you’re seeing above. Can you show me a screenshot of your admin dashboard under Directory->Directory? If you see listings on the front, you should see something under there…
And, I want more info to be displayed, not only the names. When I finalize the csv upload will all of the fields display with the member?
You can control what is visible on the listings under Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields. You can set them for list view, detail view or search form. Each field can be controlled individually, no problem.
And how can I format the listings – what is there is way too large of a font. if all of the fields are displayed, each listing is going to take up half a page. Do I have to do this through css or is there a place in the plugin admin to set up the display?

oh and one more – it states “Search Author” in the search box and in the button – how can I change that to simply “Search”? Author is totally incorrect for this site.

Sorry for so many posts but I keep discovering things. How can I remove the words User Navigation at the bottom of each page?
This one is probably not coming from BD itself–could be your theme, could be a plugin. But I searched and we don’t have that in our translation file, which means we don’t output that particular string. A conflict test might help you find out where it’s coming from, though.
