• I have tested this on WP Local. I always get ‘3 more attempts’ as a message on the login page when I fail login and tried 12 times (as log recorded). I set the parameters as 4 retires, 10min lockout, 2 attempts increase to 0.02hours. I see the text at the end of the lockout settings as:

After a specific IP address fails to log in 4 times, a lockout lasting 10 minutes is activated. If additional failed attempts occur within 0.00027777777777778 hours and lead to another lockout, once their combined total hits 2, the 10minutes duration is extended to 0.00027777777777778 hours. The lockout will be lifted once 0.00027777777777778 hours have passed since the last lockout incident.

I am not sure what’s going on here so, as I want to test this before using it on my live site, would appreciate feedback on how to test with minimum delays for retries. Have I made the settings invalid? PS. I tried the right passwords after 4 times and did not get past login so that may be working. Thanks.

The plugin only accepts integer numbers for its settings, 0.02 might not work as intended.
