• I’m building a WP site on my own for the first time – it’s not yet live – and now I can’t preview any pages after making a change in General Settings.

My WordPress Address url is: http://www.XYZ.com.au/wp

My Site Address was the same as above, but I have now removed the “WP” from it.

And now I cant see any Page previews.

Should this extra “WP” parent folder be in any of my URL’s anyway? I haven’t seen it in other wordpress site URLs before.

the section titled “Using a pre-existing subdirectory install”

number 8 when they say “update your permalink structure” just visit the permalinks page & hit save, that will update permalinks.

    Thanks Kyle.

I started the procedure but noticed there are actually TWO .htaccess files: one is already in the root directory (it’s dated Oct 5th) and one is in the WP folder (dated today). What do I do?

Well I deletd the old .htaccess file and finished the procedure.

    All working well. Thanks.

I have another question now about the the image file URLs will work once the site goes live, but I’ll post that question seperately.
