• Hi.

I have activated the WP_HTTP_Proxy class in wp-config.php to use a proxy server on my website. But I’m not sure how it works. Which parts of the website will go through the proxy? Does it make everything to go through proxy?

I need specifically know what happens to these:

    1. Back-end communications like WP Updates, Plugins and Themes Updates, Email, etc.
    2. Front-end communications like what our customers see, etc.

In general I need to know whether my whole website will go through proxy to the Internet or only backend communications like updates?

And finally is it safe to keep the WP_HTTP_Proxy in wp-config.php for ever or it is best to only add it when I need it and remove it after my tasks are done? I purchased and use private proxy servers from a third party company.

    Many thanks for your assistance!
    Hamid.
