    Hi,

I tried to rebuild the Connected cells demo table on https://tablepress.org/demo/ but I failed.
Is there any chance to import the correct code and is it also possible to take any other code from another website to import the structure of the table?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not sure that I understand. What exactly did you try and how did it fail?
Did you use the “colspan” and “rowspan” buttons below the table input fields to insert the #colspan# and #rowspan# keywords that ultimately connect the cells, as explained a bit more in the help text that is shown when using the “?” button?

    Hi Tobias,

I tried to exactly build the “Connected Cells Demo Table” on https://tablepress.org/demo/, but I dont know how to do that. A “usual” table is easy, but I don’t know how to build the connected tables.

That’s why I thought that there is maybe a possibility to import the Table that you created with the help of the “Import a Table” functionality in the plugin?

    Hi Jonathan,

that table has been built using the above mentioned mechanism, of using the “colspan” and “rowspan” buttons below the table input fields, to insert the #colspan# and #rowspan# keywords into the cells. Please try using those after consulting the description again that is shown when clicking the “?” button next to these buttons.

Importing that table is possible, by choosing the “Direct input” method for the import then pasting this into the text area:

    Name;ID;URL;Points;Rank
    Aaä;1;example.com/z;3;1
    Bbü;#colspan#;#rowspan#;1;4
    Ccö;3;#rowspan#;2;#rowspan#
    Ddß;#colspan#;#rowspan#;4;3
    #rowspan#;#rowspan#;;10;4

I’m not sure that will help though, as it also will only contain those #colspan# and #rowspan# keywords that indicate that cells should be combined.

    Regards,
    Tobias
