    I am trying to connect to scraper API, I have included the API key from the scraper API website, but it still tells me i dont have a plan active and that i can only use 1 credit.

    Hi Chris,

    Sorry to hear of the trouble you’re having connecting to your ScraperAPI account.

    The free ScraperAPI plan should permit 1000 credits per month. The 1 credit allowance sounds like a sandbox or test account allowance.

    Occasionally, after sign-up, ScraperAPI requires email verification or clicking “Activate Free Plan” before it transitions you off the 1-credit-trial.

    Go to Dashboard → Plan & Usage and ensure it explicitly says “Free Plan: 1 000 credits/month” (not “Trial Plan: 1 credit/day”). If it still shows “Trial,” click the “Upgrade/Activate” button next to “Free Plan” (you won’t be asked for payment).

    Hopefully this fixes your issue. Let me know if not.

    All looks to be ok with the account and is showing as a 5k credit account. Is there maybe a setting we need to update in the plugin? It is still giving us the 1 credit error.

    Hi Chris,

    Sorry to hear the issue is persisting. Could you confirm if you are on a paid or a free account currently?

    I would suggest checking the API key, and ensuring this is the one entered in your API key entry field on the plugin settings. Also check there are no spaces or other characters perhaps pasted into the field in error.

    Then be sure to re-save the settings, and run again to see if it overcomes the credit limitation issue.

    Thanks Gavin, we are using the free account still. All looks ok with the set up and API key. Is it possible to speak directly to try and resolve please?
