“Connection failed”. Log is empty

    So I am trying to import data from a database on localhost. After entering the credendials and the Db name, all I get is a message

    Connection failed
    See the errors in the log below

    Yet the log is empty. So I have no idea what is going wrong here. Of course, I double-checked credentials and database name.

    We are using NGingx with PHP 7.2 FPM on Ubuntu 18.04

    Is there any suggestion how I could get some error message? Or are some PHP extensions required to make it work?

    I found the culprit: I forgot to adjust the table prefix for the Joomla database. Strange though that the log contained absolutely no information.
