I have an error in the WP backend that states: “Constant Contact Forms has experienced issues that may need addressed and functionality may be missing. Please enable the “Support” checkbox under the Support tab in Constant Contact settings and start a forum support thread. Our support team will aid with further steps.”
Yes, the disconnect and reconnect would be steps that we recommended taking next so you’re ahead of the curve for this. The plugin got to a state where it wasn’t able to self maintain connection any more.
I was just seeing a blank space in that spot, to the left of the Planners Guide, when viewing in Firefox, my daily browser. It showed up finally in Chrome.
That’s definitely a Constant Contact based form, but it’s not one coming from the Forms plugin here. That’s looking like one of the Copy/Paste forms that the CTCT Dashboard provides once you’ve designed something in there.
Because you may not actually be utilizing the plugin at the moment, you may also not need to keep it. The forms we provide are placed via block, shortcode, or classic widget.
So, I disconnected and reconnected as instructed, and now it’s showing conflicting messages. At the top of the page, it says “DISCONNECTED”, and down in the box farther down the page it says “DISCONNECT”, as if it IS connected, and if I want to disconnect I need to hit the button. What’s going on with this app?
@mstrwks Let’s get a dedicated thread started for your issue, if you could be so kind. We’ll respond in more depth there instead of resuscitating this resolved thread.
