Hard to say. Can you share a link to your directory? What’s creating the “View” button? That’s not part of Connections, maybe that is the issue.
Thanks for the quick reply!
The view button of which i speak is:
connections -> manage
Hover over an entry and it gives you options to view, edit, delete, unapprove, ect. thats where im clicking view.
Clicking that link takes me to (this is for one peticular entry. last section “thomas-atkinson” is different for each entry. this should be a working entry.) -> http://www.getnicklivingston.com/directory-page/name/thomas-atkinson/
Like I said all was well prior to updating the plugin.

Two questions?
Is the directory home page set to this page on the Connections ; Settings admin page?
http://www.getnicklivingston.com/directory-page
Is the [connections] shortcode on this page?
http://www.getnicklivingston.com/directory-page
Through Further testing I found the following – when logged in the following works correctly –
http://www.getnicklivingston.com/contact-joseph-a-detraglia/ (works for any entry)
View link under connections -> manage does not work regardless of being logged in/out

See my previous post … we cross posted.
Ah that fixed the directory page and the view option (not sure how or why the shortcode got removed)!
Any idea why this link only works when logged in? -> http://www.getnicklivingston.com/contact-david-a-eghigian/

Sorry, I do not. Those links do not look lke they’re related to Connections at all.
It is releated to connections. the link im using can be found by:
Connections -> manage -> click view under an entry.
IF you are unsure of the view link please see link to screen shot below:

Like i said the link im trying to use only is working when logged in. Prior to the update it worked both logged in and out.

According to your screenshot, the links are:
www.getnicklivingston.com/directory-page/name/<strong>entry-name</strong>/
This would be correct if the directory home page is set to:
www.getnicklivingston.com/directory-page/
You would also need, the [connections] shortcode on that page.
From your previous reply, you said that fixed the issue. Looking at the page source I can tell two things …
1. There are <code> HTML surrounding the [connections] shortcode. Edit the page, switch to the Text tab and remove those. You theme styles them so they are white. Because the page background is white, you can not see the text.
2. The directory is set to require the user to be logged in to view. If this is meant to be visible while not logged in, you need to uncheck that option on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General tab.
These links do not seem related to Connections. I say this because Connections does not generate link structures like these.
www.getnicklivingston.com/contact-david-a-eghigian/
www.getnicklivingston.com/contact-joseph-a-detraglia/
Resolved! Your correct about the links, im not sure where they are coming from but unchecking the box to allow the directory to be seen when not logged in did the trick and everything is good to go!
Thanks!
