I have the plugin installed and I keep trying to setup email and I keep getting this once the test email attempts to be sent: Checking your settings
Sending Test Email to [email protected]
    Email Status : Not Sent
    —————————————————————————————-
    Debugging Output :
    —————————————————————————————-
    Connection refused

I set up 2-step password authentication through gmail and I don’t know what else to do and why this is not working. Any help?

  • Hi,
I have come across a similar issue on our website when using SMTP, has anyone had a chance to look at this?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Connection refused however does look bad, have you some kind of firewall running which is preventing outgoing connections?

What kind of network setup are you using?

    Kindly let us know.

    Thanks

I also have this issue with office365. I am not running a firewall.

    PHP ()mail works fine

    Any suggestions?

OK I officially gave up on your plug-in. This morning I couldn’t even get into my site. The reset password didn’t work as mail was still trying to send mail via SMTP. I was able to get my hosting company to provide me enough access to remove the plug-in and my site was back up. Although I paid for the business license, I never received any support. There must be a conflict with another plugin I have installed but regardless, I don’t have anymore time to spend on this. Peace.

It’s pretty apparent, the plugin developers are not concerned about their users.
