There is nothing to fix, 20% is relative amount for one…

When comparing Connections with other similarly large plugins, is uses an average amount of memory.

In my investigations, the host configuration can have dramatic difference on the amount of memory required and reported by PHP in general. One example of my investigation. A WP site configured identically on two different hosts, total PHP memory usage can be reported to be only 40 or so megabytes while on the other site, over a 100 megabytes. What this means is some hosts do a better job at configuring their environment than others.

With that said, I am always making improvements and adding features. One memory utilization improvement in the next version, 8.1.6, a few minor tweaks were made that did slightly reduced memory usage on the frontend. This was accomplished by loading the admin only templates only in the admin and only on the Connections : Dashboard admin page.

What you need to do id choose … does Connections provide you with enough convenience compared to the resources required to run it. Really, unless you’re running up against your hosts resources limits, there is really no need to even worry about it.

    Hope that helps!
