• I have been having multiple connectivity issues with my site, I’ve tried resetting the theme and the original style sheet, I’ve tried disabling and uninstalling plugins, all to no avail.

I constantly get a “Connection unavailable” screen no matter what browser I use when initially logging into the site (more so the admin dashboard then the front page itself), I relieve an HTTP error 9/10 times I try to upload new photos to the media library. And using the page builder (beaver builder lite), there is a 50/50 shot that it will actually save the changes I make to a particular row or section. Whether it’s a simple text editor widget, HTML Widget or a WordPress widget.

My question is if this is something on the site it self that I messed up or if I should contact my host (GoDaddy).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello, brandoncellura, & welcome. 1st, thanks for giving us your site url. I don’t think you even come close to understanding how helpful that is.

Having said that, I have more questions than answers for you at this juncture (how helpful am I, right?), but perhaps I can point us in the right direction.

Please open your wp-config.php file, either via FTP (preferably secure FTP) or via your hosting provider’s file manager & change wp-debug from ‘false’ to ‘true’. This is a serious security risk, so please change it immediately when you’re done, but then try to upload a pic or change a widget & see if you get any visible errors. Please let us know if you have questions regarding how to do that.

Next, please check your folders & see if you find any files called error_log or error.log. Open these, & see if they contain recent errors that may provide us w/clues as to what may be occurring. You can paste them into your next reply, if present. Again, you can do this either via FTP or Godaddy’s file manager.

Next, I somehow don’t think Godaddy has this, but please check to see if your control panel has an aplet that provides you w/server error logs. Again, if so, feel free to paste the errors in your next response.

I think there are a few questions you’d do well to ask Godaddy. That’s especially true if you find no way to access any server error logs. You should ask them to tell you if there are errors on your server, when they occurred, & their nature. If they can send the logs, so much the better. You should also ask your version of Php, your memory limit, your max upload size, your max post size, & your max execution time. You may also wish to determine the size of your database, though I’m not altogether sure that’s an issue at this juncture. Lastly, please ask if _mod_security is on, & whether your server is firing on any rules they have enabled.

That ought to keep you busy for the time being lol. Hopefully, however, the results can point us in a direction that can help us track this all down.

I actually did try to scan your site using Sucuri, & it gave me an http error, so–yeah–something isn’t quite right. I also tried to access your bio & got a 404, but then was able to access it a minute or so later. That’s often a resource issue, & you might wish to check in your control panel if your site’s resources have been limited recently, assuming such an aplet is present. These things are on my server, but I just don’t know about others.

Looking forward to hearing back. Best of luck.
