Hi @lauratraveler,
CONSENT is not a cookie set by this plugin. The plugin cookies and description can be found here.
Hm, okay. Is there a way to figure out who is this cookie set by then? It has a duration of 16 years 8 months and no description.
Hi @lauratraveler,
Please share your site URL so that we can take a look.
I’m also interested in this.
I had the same question. I think it’s a Google Ads Optimization cookie – which is a bit strange, since I don’t have Google Ads running on the site in question.

@spinweb I don’t have ads running on my site either. However, for me, the CONSENT cookie is only detected by the CookieYes plugin’s scanner. It’s not a cookie that is being set (it doesn’t show in the list of cookies when I inspect my page). @webtoffee can it be that the scan mistakenly finds a cookie that’s not actually being used by the site?
@lauratraveler Same here – it doesn’t show up in the Inspector. I’m wondering if it’s used by a third-party embed. @webtoffee Would it be possible to including in the scan results the URL where the cookie was found?
Hi @spinweb,
Can you please share the site URL?
@webtoffee I can’t provide it publicly, but would be happy to do so privately.
Hi @spinweb,
You may please use this page to send it over then.
