    Whenever this plugin is active, it results in 502 and 504 errors, making it pretty much unusable because it’s constantly disabling the site until you refresh repeatedly.

    Hello there @techbrownie

    502 (bad gateway) and 504 (gateway timeout) errors shouldn’t be caused by the Broken Link Checker plugin.
    This should be related to server limits and/or due to other plugins/theme that is enabled on the site.

    The best way to test this is via a staging site (a complete and exact copy of live site into another location/folder in the same server, using a separate DB) in where you can perform a full conflict test around it.

    Also enabling WP_DEBUG while you get these errors may also get you more info about the root cause of this.
